Mrs. Obama Demands Small Army of Attendants

“In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much,” she said. “See, that’s why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service,” Michelle Obama.

We were wrong. Michelle Obama, as we reported on July 7, is not served by twenty-two attendants who stand by to cater to her every whim. She is served by twenty-six attendants, including a hair dresser and make-up artist.

The annual cost to taxpayers for such unprecedented attention is approximately $1,750,000 without taking into account the expense of the lavish benefit packages afforded to every attendant. Little did American voters realize the call for “change” would result in the establishment of an Obama oligarchy.

The discovery of the additional attendants was made by D’Angelo Gore of factcheck.org and by calls to Katie McCormick Lelyyeld, Michelle Obama’s press secretary. Mr. Gore launched his investigation of the First Lady’s staff in the wake of an article that appeared on thelastcrusade.org and Canada Free Press on July 7.

The article, which became a chain letter viewed by millions of Americans, reported that Michelle Obama requires more than twenty attendants – - more than any First Lady in U.S. History. It provided the following list of White House staff members assigned to the First Lady:

“The sad part is that after billions spent “stimulating” the economy, the list of new staffers for the wife of our pretend president represents the only new jobs that have been created. We’re screwed.”

”….and not a one of those attendants can help her find something decent to wear…pathetic waste of taxpayer money…..”

Terry from Colorado:

”This is from the family that supports a government run health care system. If they can’t control the spending inside the White House, how can we believe they can save money elsewhere?”

”This is OBAMANABLY!!!! I’ve been laid off….wonder if she will hire me?” Bobby from Shanksville: ”I didn’t see anyone listed who wipes her ####.”

Lyle from Ilinois:

”This is a crime. I am sure not one of those aides comes close to earning what they are paid. How could they? What is there for them to do? I can’t believe Michelle will end up being a great first lady regardless how many aides she has. How will she ever survive at the end of his four-year term when she has to go back to being a civilian again. No way will the government pay for all these lackies for a civilian, no matter how hard she may try to make it happen. I recall a high school English teacher saying “like begets like” and it sure shows up with the Obama couple. They’re both in it for as much as they can get for themselves.”

Michelle from Michigan:

“How can my nephew, who has been out of work for almost a year, get a job on Michelle’s staff? The pay is better than anything available here and he is colleged educated.”

Betty from Pennsylvania:

“My husband and I have worked hard all our lives. We are people of integrity. And yet when I read of spending like this my blood boils. How dare she use my hard-earned money like this. How dare she take advantage of her position. She did not earn her position because of who she is or how hard she has worked. I don’t know how she can sleep at night. Somehow, we need to get this President out of office before we lose all our rights. The allegations within the July 7 article seemed so outrageous that many readers questioned their accuracy. Does Mrs. Obama have an unprecedented number of staffers in a time when 34 million Americans – - a record number – - rely on food stamps to feed their families.”

The answer, as D’Angelo Gore of factcheck.org discovered, is yes. When questioned by Mr. Gore, Katie McCormick Lelyveld, Michelle Obama’s press secretary, said that the First Lady does retain a staff of more than twenty who remain at her beck and call.

But the actual number is 24, not 22, as the article reported. Mrs. Lelyyeld failed to provide the names of the two additional attendants to Mrs. Obama. But she did confirm that six staffers who do not have “first lady” in their title but are a part of the First Lady’s office staff, such as Desiree Rogers, who bears the title “Special Assistant to the President and White House Social Secretary,” and Natalie Bookey, who is listed as a “staff assistant.” What’s more, even a list of 24 would be incomplete since it would fail to include the names of makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and “First Hairstylist” Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One and provide Mrs. Obama with daily attention.

This adds up to a whopping $1,600,700.00 and the amount doesn’t include the elite benefit packages granted to the White House staff and their significant others (include same-sex partners). Nor does the figure take into account the salaries for the two additional full-time staff members mentioned by Mrs. Obama’s Press Secretary nor the full time hair-dresser and makeup artist assigned to her.

A guesstimate of the total salaries for Mrs. Obama’s attendants is $1,750,00.00 plus the additional benefits. For comparison, let’s remember that poor Bess Truman and Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salaries for 5 their personal secretaries from their own pocketbooks.

Stephen Plotkin, reference archivist for the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, says that Jacqueline Kennedy’s office was “headed” by one person who supervised a staff of approximately nine full and part time workers (including the White House cooks and chambermaids).

Kim Coryat, an archives technician at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library, says that it is difficult to nail down a precise count of staff because “White House staffing for all offices ebbs and flows with time.” But she points out that a White House telephone directory indicates that Hillary Clinton had a staff of thirteen in 1993 – - this is telling since Mrs. Clinton intended to serve as a co-executive in the Oval Office by spearheading a health care reform program.

Laura Bush was far from a fiscal conservative during her time in the White House and, like her husband, served to bloat the White House budget. A list of Mrs. Bush’s staff attendants is as follows:

This amounts to a total of $1,083,700.00. Laura was no piker when it came to spending. But she pales in comparison with Miz Michelle who requires eight to ten additional attendants at an extra cost to taxpayers of $700,000 and change – - the only change American taxpayers can believe in.

A few weeks back I wrote a letter to Mr and Mrs Obama and emailed it to them regarding their extravagant  ”date nights”.  I think these “date nights”  are nothing more than reasons to live beyond their means and using tax dollars to do and see things they couldn’t afford to do before the Obamunist usurped the POTUS.

But who am I and my observations? I mean, really,  just a few years back this amateur didn’t have taxi cab fare to get home from a seminar,  and now he and his wife are taking three jets, two helicopters and a caravan of carbon heavy SUVs to go to dinner and a play and she is taking her daughters to London for deep fried fish and chips?

Let me also point out that Obama makes himself out to be someone who listens to the American people, so remember that when you read this ridiculous response:

NC Sez:  You have pushed through legislation that will increase the average family’s energy bills by $3000.00 a year AND you have done that during this depression. I see how freakin’ compassionate you are, you fugly bastard! But also the cap and trade bill will force business owners great and small to have to go green in their companies.  Now answer me:  How is raising energy costs for ALL businesses in America going to create jobs?  Why do you never answer simple questions like that?

Let’s do the math:  the small business owner’s energy costs will be raised 500% in one year. Here is his choice: 1. He could pay for his energy increases and the cost to go green,  or 2. he can create a job.

If he doesn’t pay his energy bills and the cost to go green, by gov’t mandate,  then the government will fine him until he does and his power company will shut down his power! Or he can create a job with that money instead.  Yeah I can see how that creates private jobs!  I think they call that fuzzy math!

NC  Sez: he really means One World Government

At the same time, we have an obligation to rein in  our budget deficit by cutting wasteful spending and
ineffective programs.  We can do all this, and change the  way business is done in Washington, by building the most  open, transparent, and accountable government in our  history.

MAJORITY OF AMERICANS NOW QUESTION WAR IN AFGHANISTAN

While Hoovervilles and shanty-towns are sprouting up throughout America, the cost of war in Iraq and Afghanistan has climbed to $915.1 billion and 753,118 people have been killed, including 5,000 American soldiers

July 2009 has been the bloodiest month in the Afghan war, with deaths of 30 American service members.

The high casualty rate was a result of President Obama’s decision to send 4,000 Marines into southeastern Afghanistan where the Taliban have established a stronghold.

17,000 additional troops will be deployed for this effort by the end of July, while an additional 4,000 military personnel will arrive to train Afghan security forces in time by August 20, the date set for the general election.

In addition to the troops, Mr. Obama will provide the Afghan government with $10 billion in additional non-military aid.

The annual cost for the Afghan war now exceeds $65 billion and no exit plan is in the works.

“No matter how we slice the numbers, we must consider that each dollar spent to fight wars in Afghanistan and Iraq is a dollar not spent to further some other endeavor. For example, Massachusetts taxpayers will contribute well over $2 billion toward the total cost of this supplemental. For the same amount of money, legislators could provide four years of healthcare for 95,000 people, send 56,000 students to four years of college or cut Massachusetts’s state deficit in half,” notes Jo Comerford, Executive Director, National Priorities Project.

Americans, too, in increasingly number are voicing their doubts about the Afghan war. Only 30% in a recent New York Times/CBS News poll believed that the war was going well; 55% stated that it was proceeding poorly; and 15% expressed no opinion.

The 1,018 page  Health Care Bill (that no one would have read) is not getting the approval faux-bama was hoping for even from within his own Party and promises to try again in the Fall.  If I were to guess the reason for the stall,  I would say it was the 2010 elections fast approaching many of these dems.  Americans are starting to wake up as more people are losing their savings, homes, jobs, unemployment figures are closing in on 20% nation wide, welfare needs are going up, and obamavilles are springing up around the Country.  

Is it Reality to think that Americans are concerned about their health care if they have no job or no where to live?  Of course, only a bureaucrat would think of what will perpetrate his job rather than thinking about serving those who pay for his job!  

The truth of the matter is that this faux-administration and Congress are out of control.  They refuse to see the Law of Cause and Effect,  and continue pushing forward their massive spending agenda because of their Super Majority and lack of any checks or balances with no thought of where this money is going to come from and who will have to pay for it.  

When Obama is long gone, and I hope that is very soon, our sons and daughters will still be paying for his government jobs creation programs! This is flat out Marxism, French style or Russian style, doesn’t matter,    governments that over spend eventually crush under its own weight. 

I did a survey on my block which I would encourage you to do as well.   I counted how many people live on my corner of my village and what jobs they had and this is the result that I tallied:

Out of 30 neighbors:

• Retired and on Social Security, welfare and or disability – 10
• Government Employees – 4
• Unemployed from private companies – 5
• Those who work for a private  company  - 4
• Retired living off personal retirement – 1
• Homemakers/not working outside of home  - 3
• Children  - 2
• Adult unknown what kind of job – private or government (?)  -1 

Let me go even further and say that in my circle of friends who are not retired, most of my buds have lost their jobs, are currently on unemployment, or have had their unemployment run out,  and have quit looking for work. There are three people working.  

I am not saying that all neighborhoods will end up like mine, but as you can see we have four people who are creating a tax base, with five people who use to work for private companies,  and the rest are living off the tax system!  How will this work?  I suggest you take a survey of your neighborhood,  and see how many people create a tax base,  and how many people actually suck off the tax base.

Now add the regular Congressional budget, the trillion dollar Stimulus Bill, TARP I and II, Cap and trade which will increase the average family tax burden by $3000.  a year and a health care system that will make these other tax burdens look like a cake walk. How is it possible for this country to survive when we have Congress Critters who are only concerned with their own lives and creating government jobs that suck off the tax payer?  

WILL SOMEONE ANSWER THE QUESTION????  And please spare me the,  

“We have to spend money to make money” argument.  

In our family and 99% of all families and businesses, we don’t spend money to make money!  That’s an insane Looney Left Lie!  We work!  That’s how we make money!  Then we save our money which is what China is now doing,  and will become the world’s super power because of it. America used to save her money,  but now America lives off a credit card.  Eventually America will have to go bankrupt!  

By the way as a side note:  Did you know that Congress created a Law for themselves so that they do not pay into the Social Security system?  They have their own private retirement accounts that they refuse YOU to have for yourself! You know why they don’t pay into this system? Because they know for a fact it will fail someday and they don’t want to lose the money they put into this failed system, but they care NOT if you lose your money!  

This is NOT a representative Republic, but an oligarchy or mob rule!!    Some people have more Rights than others, and it’s time it STOPS!

Elliott Wave, a socioeconomic research think tank,  and investment advisory service,  is reporting the the third down cycle or impulse wave, which is ALWAYS the largest and most drastic leg of any Elliott Wave cycle has already begun to take place which means a pretty severe stock market crash is indicted by Elliott Wave analysis for the next three months.

Do not believe what the faux-bama and Tax Cheat Timothy Geithner are yammering about regarding this economy,  in that it will turn around this year, as it will will only hurt you!  They are bald face liars,  and of course, the state sponsored media is in lock step with this deceit and reporting to you that America is only going through a Jimma Carter style recession.

America is in a depression.  No Compromise Media has been reporting this depression since last November and our economy has steadily slipped further down into an economic nightmare for millions of American families in the loss of jobs, homes, and futures. 

This depression would have not been as severe had the Congress decided that they stood for Americans and protected our economy, but instead they decided to be driven by their narcissistic fantasies,  and lust for power and that their own personal lives were more important than those they claim to represent.  It is time for Term Limits and it’s time for impeachment charges to be filed against certain congress critters! 

If Americans do not take back Congress in 2010 and strengthen our free market then it’s going to take another 50 or 60 years to get this country back!  There was a severe long-term depression that began in 1721 with the popping of the South Sea bubble and continued all the way until the 1780s.  That depression mimics the one we are seeing today.  The bubbles that are popping today are as extreme as the South Sea bubble in 1720.  

Prepare!  That’s the word for today. Get out of debt, save your money,  and prepare!

UPDATE: Mexico City just suffered a 5.8 earthquake.  Hmmm.  Interesting. 

NC Reminds:  First our economy crashes,  and 100s of 1000s of Americans have lost their job, now a swine flu epidemic.  What’s next?  Let’s pray that this swine flu doesn’t turn out to be as bad as the 1918 Spanish Flu.

Cough or sneeze into your elbow, keep your hands clean, and don’t touch public shopping carts, door handles and  keep hand sanitizer with you where ever you go.  

This last winter a flu spread the country like wildfire.  I have east coast blogger friends who caught a flu and then watched it hit my mid-west blogger friends then I watched it come to the west coast and infect everyone I knew. That flu lasted about six weeks,  and it was a nasty bug, so be careful!  This can get real serious real fast!  

One more thing, historically when economies go through depressions as we are experiencing right now we will also see serious health issues rise as well.

MEXICO CITY/GENEVA (Reuters) – A new flu that has killed up to 68 people in Mexico could start a global epidemic, the World Health Organization warned on Saturday, as tests showed the strain might be spreading in the United States.

Mexico’s crowded capital, where most of the deaths happened and home to some 20 million people, hunkered down in fear of the swine flu.

Tests confirmed that eight New York City schoolchildren had a type A influenza virus that was likely to be the swine flu, the city’s health commissioner said. Kansas state health officials confirmed two cases of swine flu, CNN reported, adding to the original eight cases in the United States.

Officials from WHO and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention helped Mexican health experts test hundreds of patients with flu symptoms for the never-before-seen virus.

In Mexico City, parents canceled kids’ parties, bars were closed and residents stocked up on DVDs as people stayed home for the weekend to avoid contamination.

“I think it’s worse than they’re telling us,” said 35-year-old Lidia Diaz, sniffling and wearing a surgical mask as she headed to a clinic in the capital.

WHO declared the outbreaks a “public health event of international concern” and urged all countries to boost their surveillance for any unusual outbreaks of influenza-like illness and severe pneumonia.

The agency stopped short of raising the threat level for a pandemic — a global epidemic of serious disease.

“It has pandemic potential because it is infecting people,” WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan said in Geneva.

“However, we cannot say on the basis of currently available laboratory, epidemiological and clinical evidence whether or not it will indeed cause a pandemic.”

The last flu pandemic was in 1968 when “Hong Kong” flu killed about a million people globally.

A pandemic would deal a major blow to a world economy already knocked into its worst recession in decades by the crisis in financial markets.

As far away as Hong Kong and Japan, health officials stepped up checks of travelers with flu-like symptoms, and the CDC said it was actively looking for new infections in the United States.

“We are worried and because we are worried we are acting aggressively on a number of fronts,” the CDC’s Dr. Anne Schuchat told reporters. “The situation is serious.”
