Obama’s response to NC’s letter re: Date Night

A few weeks back I wrote a letter to Mr and Mrs Obama and emailed it to them regarding their extravagant  ”date nights”.  I think these “date nights”  are nothing more than reasons to live beyond their means and using tax dollars to do and see things they couldn’t afford to do before the Obamunist usurped the POTUS.

But who am I and my observations? I mean, really,  just a few years back this amateur didn’t have taxi cab fare to get home from a seminar,  and now he and his wife are taking three jets, two helicopters and a caravan of carbon heavy SUVs to go to dinner and a play and she is taking her daughters to London for deep fried fish and chips?

Let me also point out that Obama makes himself out to be someone who listens to the American people, so remember that when you read this ridiculous response:

Dear Friend:

Thank you for writing to me.  I appreciate hearing  from you and value your input.

NC Asks:  Then why not answer my complaints re: your waste of tax dollars during a depression?

Each day, I am moved by the messages I have  received from people across the country.

NC asks:  He’s moved?  It appears he thinks this is a victim sob story!

Far too many  Americans are struggling–falling behind on mortgage  payments, coping with illness, or losing a job without  warning.  My Administration is working to address the  serious challenges our Nation faces.  I am committed to immediate steps that generate job creation and  economic recovery, and I am determined to make  investments that lay a new foundation for real and lasting  progress.

NC points out:  Look faux-bama,  you were the one who said if we quickly passed the Stimulus package unemployment would reach ONLY 8%.  Now unemployment figures are reaching 20%. NO!  I do not believe your government “cooked” books! More people have lost jobs, our debt is rising by the second and America is facing a depression worse than the government induced depression of 1929!   It must be nice to have a super majority of rich cats in Congress doing your bidding.  By the way, how are those Goldman-Sachs buddies working out in your administration, Obama?

To build this new foundation, we need health care  reform–this year–that reduces costs, protects health
care choices, and assures quality, affordable care for all  Americans.

NC Sez:  Who wrote that Death Care BILL! DID YOU READ IT!  Will your kids be getting the same government run “health care” as my kids?  I doubt that since you have a paid doctor on staff!

I encourage you to visit  Communist-RunHealthCare.gov to learn more about my commitment to enacting comprehensive health care reform  in 2009.

NC Sez:  It is all about you isn’t it faux-bama?

I am also dedicated to building a clean energy economy that creates millions of jobs, helps us achieve
energy independence, and reduces pollution as we tackle  the effects of global warming.  Please visit
www.Recovery.gov to read about the more than $60 billion  in clean energy investments my Administration has made to  jump-start our economy and build the jobs of tomorrow.

NC Sez:  You have pushed through legislation that will increase the average family’s energy bills by $3000.00 a year AND you have done that during this depression. I see how freakin’ compassionate you are, you fugly bastard! But also the cap and trade bill will force business owners great and small to have to go green in their companies.  Now answer me:  How is raising energy costs for ALL businesses in America going to create jobs?  Why do you never answer simple questions like that?

Let’s do the math:  the small business owner’s energy costs will be raised 500% in one year. Here is his choice: 1. He could pay for his energy increases and the cost to go green,  or 2. he can create a job.

If he doesn’t pay his energy bills and the cost to go green, by gov’t mandate,  then the government will fine him until he does and his power company will shut down his power! Or he can create a job with that money instead.  Yeah I can see how that creates private jobs!  I think they call that fuzzy math!

To prepare our children to thrive in the global  economy, we must guarantee every child a complete and
competitive education.  For information about my  education reform agenda, please join me online at:
www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/education.

NC  Sez: he really means One World Government

At the same time, we have an obligation to rein in  our budget deficit by cutting wasteful spending and
ineffective programs.  We can do all this, and change the  way business is done in Washington, by building the most  open, transparent, and accountable government in our  history.

NC points out:  It is clear to me that Obama is a sociopath. He does not live in the same Reality as you and me.  Obama increased the deficit so much more than Bush ever did and Bush had two wars to fight.  Now say again,  why is it that the current deficit is not Obama’s doing?  Oh, that’s right, when a freakin’ lefturd increases the deficit then the mantra is “We have to spend money to make money”, but when a RINO is in office then the RINO is killing the future of America.  That must be fuzzy logic.

While we repair our communities, we must also  recognize the important contributions of our service men
and women in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other nations.  Our  military and their families have borne an enormous burden  for their fellow citizens, serving with honor and succeeding  beyond any expectation.  For those who have been injured  or lost their lives in pursuit of our freedom, we owe them  undying gratitude.  I am committed to assisting our  servicemembers, veterans, and their families and honoring  our debts to them.

NC Reminds:  Didn’t Obama say he was going to close down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?  Yes, I do remember that.  Well, he must have fuzzy recall because he has increased American presence in Afghanistan.  Why aren’t the Islamo-fascist appeasers are on every street corner on the first Saturday of each month.
The only way to solve the problems of our time is to  involve all Americans in shaping the policies that affect our  lives.  I hope you continue to explore  www.WhiteHouse.gov, which is regularly updated and  more interactive than ever before.

NC Asks:  Really Obama?  Because you just told those who disagree with you to “get out of the way” and to “shut up”!

Thank you again for writing.

Sincerely,

Barack Obama

To be a part of our agenda for change, join us at www.WhiteHouse.gov

NC Sez:  Well to be part of the American people’s agenda go to ot

And one final question,  Obama: What did any of what you said have to do with you use of  tax dollars for your extravagant DATE NIGHTS?

RINO Reichert trying to back peddle on Liberal voting Record

RINO--It's what's for dinner!

RINO--It's what's for dinner!

Congress Critter Dave Reichert–R,  is proudly pushing H.R.3268 – Earmark Transparency and Accountability Reform Act’ aka “Common Cents”. Isn’t that so cute???

He was reamed by Conservatives and Republicans for voting in favor of Cap and Trade and apparently “thinks”  this bill will help calm the anger of his constituents.  Reichert has never been a friend to Conservatives much less Republicans but because he has an “R” after his name the Republicans in his district will fight for his continued seat in Congress.  Why?

If Reichert had a “D” after his name the Republicans would NOT be at all surprised that he voted for Cap and Trade, the Stimulus Bills,  and the all the pork spending this yahoo has brought to Washington state, but because he claims to be a republican, Rs will defend and support him ’til the bitter end!

What I don’t understand with these Republicans is why they support this critter.  Reichert was voted into office replacing retired, Jennifer Dunn, who had a 84% conservative voting record. He started off with a 64% conservative voting record and has gone down hill ever since.  Currently, he has a 56% conservative voting record and the Republicans continue to support him.  Oh, how their attention span is short and our standards are so low!

Their argument: Well, it’s better to have him voting 56% of the time instead of none of the time.  They never even consider finding a Conservative replacement for Reichert. I guess that’s too much work! I guess it’s easier to work harder to pay for all of these tax increases IF YOU HAVE A JOB, then it is to find a actual Conservative.  Is it any wonder the Republican party is in the shape it’s in???

Republicans drink by the gallon!

What RINO apologists drink by the gallon!

King County Republicans:  Stop drinking the kool-aid and don’t jump too high in excitement over this “Common Cents”  reform act! All this act will do is AMEND A RULE. That’s it!  The rule will require that all pork will be placed in a searchable website for member spending which is managed by the clerk.

  • Rule XXI of the Rules of the House of Representatives is amended by adding at the end the following new clause:

` Special requirement for bills and resolutions containing earmarks

`11. It shall not be in order to consider any bill or joint resolution reported by any committee, or any amendment thereto or conference report thereon, that contains any congressional earmark (as defined in clause 9) that has not been posted on the Website of that committee for at least 72 hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays except when the House is in session on such a day).’.

We should be so proud of Reichert for this landmark legislation especially after he voted in favor of stealing the auto industry from private hands and then voting for Cash for Clunkers and the additional 1 Billion taxpayer dollars our children will be paying for in their future.  Gee, I’m so proud of you Reichert for this amendment to expose the pork barrel spending which you are so good at bringing into Washington state!

The ‘Cap and Trade’ Tax Scheme is Imminent

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

TR:  Folks, NOW is the time for you to call your Congress-person and give them an earful.  Before Congress attempts to shove Socialized Medicine (ObamaCare) down your throat, they will very soon vote to first cram your gullet full of their disastrous “Cap and Trade” tax scheme – arguably the largest tax increase in American history – while their own climate “experts” acknowledge that it will accomplish next to nothing in regulating the Earth’s temperature.  Call your Congress-critter NOW and tell them “Hell, NO”.  The House switchboard is  202-224-3121.

Democrats off-loading economics to pass climate change bill.

By The Wall Street Journal, Opinion

Cap and Trade - Wealth Killer

Cap and Trade - Wealth Killer

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has put cap-and-trade legislation on a forced march through the House, and the bill may get a full vote as early as Friday [June 26th, 2009]. It looks as if the Democrats will have to destroy the discipline of economics to get it done.

Despite House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry Waxman’s many payoffs to Members, rural and Blue Dog Democrats remain wary of voting for a bill that will impose crushing costs on their home-district businesses and consumers. The leadership’s solution to this problem is to simply claim the bill defies the laws of economics.

Their gambit got a boost this week, when the Congressional Budget Office did an analysis of what has come to be known as the Waxman-Markey bill. According to the CBO, the climate legislation would cost the average household only $175 a year by 2020. Edward Markey, Mr. Waxman’s co-author, instantly set to crowing that the cost of upending the entire energy economy would be no more than a postage stamp a day for the average household. Amazing. A closer look at the CBO analysis finds that it contains so many caveats as to render it useless.

For starters, the CBO estimate is a one-year snapshot of taxes that will extend to infinity. Under a cap-and-trade system, government sets a cap on the total amount of carbon that can be emitted nationally; companies then buy or sell permits to emit CO2. The cap gets cranked down over time to reduce total carbon emissions.

Henry "Nostrilitus" Waxman

Henry "Nostrilitus" Waxman

To get support for his bill, Mr. Waxman was forced to water down the cap in early years to please rural Democrats, and then severely ratchet it up in later years to please liberal Democrats. The CBO’s analysis looks solely at the year 2020, before most of the tough restrictions kick in. As the cap is tightened and companies are stripped of initial opportunities to “offset” their emissions, the price of permits will skyrocket beyond the CBO estimate of $28 per ton of carbon. The corporate costs of buying these expensive permits will be passed to consumers.

The biggest doozy in the CBO analysis was its extraordinary decision to look only at the day-to-day costs of operating a trading program, rather than the wider consequences energy restriction would have on the economy. The CBO acknowledges this in a footnote: “The resource cost does not indicate the potential decrease in gross domestic product (GDP) that could result from the cap.”

The hit to GDP is the real threat in this bill. The whole point of cap and trade is to hike the price of electricity and gas so that Americans will use less. These higher prices will show up not just in electricity bills or at the gas station but in every manufactured good, from food to cars. Consumers will cut back on spending, which in turn will cut back on production, which results in fewer jobs created or higher unemployment. Some companies will instead move their operations overseas, with the same result.

When the Heritage Foundation did its analysis of Waxman-Markey, it broadly compared the economy with and without the carbon tax. Under this more comprehensive scenario, it found Waxman-Markey would cost the economy $161 billion in 2020, which is $1,870 for a family of four. As the bill’s restrictions kick in, that number rises to $6,800 for a family of four by 2035.

Note also that the CBO analysis is an average for the country as a whole. It doesn’t take into account the fact that certain regions and populations will be more severely hit than others — manufacturing states more than service states; coal producing states more than states that rely on hydro or natural gas. Low-income Americans, who devote more of their disposable income to energy, have more to lose than high-income families.

Even as Democrats have promised that this cap-and-trade legislation won’t pinch wallets, behind the scenes they’ve acknowledged the energy price tsunami that is coming. During the brief few days in which the bill was debated in the House Energy Committee, Republicans offered three amendments: one to suspend the program if gas hit $5 a gallon; one to suspend the program if electricity prices rose 10% over 2009; and one to suspend the program if unemployment rates hit 15%. Democrats defeated all of them.

The reality is that cost estimates for climate legislation are as unreliable as the models predicting climate change. What comes out of the computer is a function of what politicians type in. A better indicator might be what other countries are already experiencing. Britain’s Taxpayer Alliance estimates the average family there is paying nearly $1,300 a year in green taxes for carbon-cutting programs in effect only a few years.

Americans should know that those Members who vote for this climate bill are voting for what is likely to be the biggest tax in American history. Even Democrats can’t repeal that reality.

CAFE Obama: Proposed mileage standards would kill more Americans than Iraq War

Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

Make smaller, lighter and deadlier cars

by Steve Milloy

Could this be you and your family in a Prius?

Could this be you and your family in a Prius?

The Obama administration’s proposed mileage standards that were announced may kill more Americans at a faster rate than the Iraq War — his signature issue in the 2008 presidential campaign.

Obama’s standards will require automakers to meet a 35 miles-per-gallon standard by 2016 — four years earlier than the same standard imposed by the Energy Security and Independence Act of 2007.

As discussed in my new book Green Hell, the only way for carmakers to meet these standard is to make smaller, lighter and deadlier cars.

The National Academy of Sciences has linked mileage standards with about 2,000 deaths per year. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that every 100-pound reduction in the weight of small cars increases annual traffic fatalities by as much as 715.

In contrast in the more than six years since the Iraq war began, there have been 4,296 deaths among American military personnel.

And what will be gained by the new mileage standards?

The Natural Resources Defense Council said that the 35 MPG standard would save about one million gallons of gas per day. So how does that savings balance against the 2,000 fatalities per year that the National Academy of Sciences says are caused by those same lighter cars?

The Great Washing Machine Debacle–The Life & Times of Crazy Tracy, Part I

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

isn't it cute?

isn't it cute?

Nine years ago, I bought my first front loader and matching dryer from the “green” company General Electric.  I was told that by doing so I would save money on water, electricity, laundry detergent, and it would treat my dime store clothing with kid gloves.  I was very excited as it was my first brand new set of matching washer and dryer.  WhooHoo!  And it had the really cool window on the front where you could see your cloths go round and round!
I was thinking that this is great, I’m saving energy, “doing my part for planet earth”  earth isn’t my mother, so I just say planet earth,  and I won’t have to buy another freakin’ washer,  and dryer  for 25 years.  That was a load off my mind, no pun intended.

Ah-huh!  Sure!  Two weeks ago, my energy star complaint washing machine had some sort of stress fracture in the outer drum and ripped a nice size hole on top of that outer drum making the sound like a car slamming head on into a telephone pole!

Isn't it cute?

Isn't it cute?

This was just the beginning of my crazy adventure in appliance land.  I was fuming mad because I paid about eleven hundred bucks for my ’50s look-a-like set,  and I was happy in laundry land with them. They were small and compact and fit nicely with my 1917 style laundry room!

So my husband and I had to squeeze into our tiny laundry room, jimmy  200 lbs of “greeness” out of position. It was stuck on the wood floors so we had to figure out a way to get it out without ripping the wood off the floor.  Then we had to shimmy it out through our 29 inch door ways without ripping the skin off our knuckles or getting stuck in between a bookcase and a laundry tub.  Oh, feel that joy! You should see the pair of us trying to work together!

You want me to do what?

You want me to do what?

That’s another ah-ha moment,  as I would rather believe I can do it perfectly than follow his direction on anything!

So we managed to get it out of the laundry room,  and onto a faux-dolly,  through a tiny kitchen and out through the front door without me killing him!  Now the fun part:  we have to get this washing machine down wet, slippery wood steps through a jungle of weeds not yet pulled out of the garden patch and onto the back of my chick’s truck.

I have a chick’s truck. It’s an S-10 pick up,  and only women can fit inside of the cab comfortably as a man is squished inside this two seater, so it’s my “chicks truck”.  Now,  that truck has lasted me a long time. It has over 200K on it,  and although it’s really quite ugly, it’s white,  it’s a good American made truck. My husband didn’t want me to buy it,  but I ignored him,  and bought it anyway,  and I haven’t regretted it at all!  I love it!  He likes it too!  I happen to like trucks.  I use to have a three on

isn't it cute?

isn't it cute?

the tree ‘67 Chevy when I was about 23 years old.  I looked really cute behind the wheel of this monster. You could barely see my head, but that was a cool truck!

Anyway, getting back to drama 1,258, we managed to get the washing machine onto the back of my truck so I could drive it the 40 miles to my appliance guy just to have him tell me, the

“I hate to break it to ya lady,  but your machine is toast” line.

Ripping out what thin & broke hair I have left!

Ripping out what thin & broken hair I have left!

“Oh my gawd, no freakin’ way? I bought that machine because it was suppose to save the planet from us evil consumers,  and NOW I have to buy another washing machIIINNNEE??”  It’s not gonna match my dryer now,  damnit!”

What a farce!  I buy a so called “green” machine so as not to fill up the landfill with my evil purchases,  and now I have to buy another washing machine??  Boy, was I naive!  I decided, this time I’m gonna get to the bottom of this GE, bull crap,  advertising gimmick,  ”imagination at work“,  and find out what this is all about!

But before I did, I wrote up a scathing opinion of the General Electric company, which by the way, my grandpa worked at when I was young, and I am gonna make my voice heard on this double speak, bull crap,  lie they are selling us consumers! You can do that at epinions.com

I went to Sears and told my sob story to the sales lady.  She whispered back,

“Oh yeah, honey, since all the mandated, energy star,  and  ’green’ laws went into effect all appliances are half life now, didn’t you know that, sweetie? Yeah, 8-10 years.”

“What?  No, I didn’t know that!  I was told GE cared about Mother Earth! I was also told the government cared about my mommy,  and that was why they passed all these “green”  laws.”

Oh, and by the way, you’re gonna love this, as we were doing our research on what appliance was better than another, I kid you not, we came across this statement:

“People don’t want their appliances to last long anymore because they are too busy remolding their homes all the time and want new stuff instead of having to repair their old appliances.”

It must be those same people who were buying Freddie Mac homes, who can afford to change out their decor every five years, ya think?

Yeah! Imagining how to rip you off!

Yeah! Imagining how to rip you off!

Suffice it to say, GE’s slogan, “imagination at work” is really them imagining ways they can mindf**k  you out of your hard earned dollars!

We are living in very tough economic times right now, and trust me on this, you do not want your household items breaking down on you especially when it will take you longer to raise the money to replace what once use to last a quarter of a century,  and now doesn’t last a decade.

The whole idea of these eco whacko freaks loving planet earth is a lie!  It’s just another way to steal money from us slaves and destroy what’s left of the idea of good ole fashion American made products, that is if American actually still makes anything anymore and finally control us further with regulations to create jobs for Big Bubby .

I’m too young to have to go through this again, but I will either have to buy yet another washing machine in about 10 years,  or I have to wash my cloths by hand.  No wonder pioneers owned two sets of clothes, one to work in,  and one to go to church in!

To conclude, drama 1,258, I ended up buying a: (It doesn’t matter because according to al-Gore Mother Earth will be drowned in ice melt in exactly nine years anyway!)

Ah-huh, we'll see how long this one lasts!

Ah-huh, we'll see how long this one lasts!

The Ministry of Algore must be Destroyed

ThoughtRogue:  Folks, if you haven’t read George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel, 1984, it is a must read.  From it, our society has gained many useful yet sinister terms such as:  Big Brother is Watching You (which has been modernized to “Big Daddy is Watching ‘over’ You”), Room 101, Crimethink (thought crimes such as “Hate” crimes”, or conservative ideology), Doublethink (self-contradictory spin or rhetoric as ‘fact’), and literally controlling the future by the constant revision (often erasure) of history by those in control with totalitarian powers…  It’s up to you and me to stop this before we are all engulfed by the armies of Obots and their totalitarian drones.
