Political violence strikes out in the mountainous province of Maguindanao, southern Philippines, where fifty seven people have been brutally mutilated with the dead bodies’ bullet ridden.
This massacre took place in broad daylight by Muslim rebels according to Ampatuan Jnr who was among the butchers that committed this attack. Ampatuan Jnr surrendered himself to authorities as he denied having any involvement in the heinous killings. Yet, witnesses at the scene stated clearly that Mr. Jnr ordered them to open fire as he also engaged in the murderous rampage on innocent unarmed victims.
Of the 57 defenseless victims slaughtered twenty-two were women, twenty-seven journalist and fifteen others were innocent bystanders in the wrong place at the wrong time as the murders stated that their could be no witnesses to their heinous deeds- except for the murderers who committed the crime of course.
According to Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera, almost every woman was shot in their genitals and the zippers on all their pants were undone and some had their pants pull down. At the time of the report it was not know if the women were raped, but as stated by Ms Devanadera , something bad was done to them, and the scene was just to grim to bear.
Of the twenty-two women bullet ridden and butchered, Eshmael Mangudadatu, the vice-mayor of Buluan has been personally stricken by this senseless violence. His wife, pregant aunt and pregnant sister were of those massacred by the Muslim rebels.
According to Mangudadatu, his wife’s genitals were slashed four times and shot with a bullet. In addition, the rebels also speared both of his wifes eyes, shot both her breasts, cut off her feet, and finally shot her one more time, but this time in the mouth. Mr. Mangudadatu said he cannot begin to describe the way in which these animals treated his wife.
Video is Graphic, watch with caution
I hope and pray that justice will be served, and these individuals who committed this heinous crime receive the full penalty of the law.
