No Compromise when you're Right!

The 1828 Webster’s Definition of Patriotism:

PAT’RIOT, n. [L. patria, one's native country, form pater, father.]

A person who loves his country, and zealously supports and defends it and its interests.

The definitions have changed quite a bit haven’t they? The redefined (2nd) version is vague and subjective, because it is based on emotion. It seems to try and distract the reader with the phonetic spellings of the words , without defining the words according to objective facts and actualities. It is very effective because the Enemy has stolen this word and is trying to present the narrative of cowardliness, betrayal, and hatred for America as somehow being patriotic, and is to be accepted without question!

This is an example of moral equivalence which is a form of communication that tries to equate good with evil, and wrong with right.

For example, today I heard on the radio that a sexual predator who had kidnapped and brutally raped 20 women “successfully” graduated sex offender treatment and was released. The talk show host was understandably very concerned about this sex predator being allowed to hunt with a bow and arrow.

A caller called in and quizzed the talk show host asking him if he hunted and wasn’t hunting predatory? This caller was trying to equate a man who hunts animals to eat with a sex predator who hunted women to kidnap and rape. The caller would not call what the sex predator did as an evil behavior. He refused because according to his pathetic excuse for “logic”, hunting animals and women appear to be equal. What the caller totally disregarded in his defective logic, in order to create such moral equivalence, was the difference in the object of such predations. There is a world of difference between hunting animals for food versus hunting women and children for perverted sexual purposes. All moral equivalence arguments are based upon such defective logic by shallow thinkers who willfully ignore essential facts and truths that would destroy any such seeming equivalence.

In the definitions above true patriotism is one who zealously defends his country with objective actions, versus the phony and subjective patriotism of one who only feels and expresses love for his country, without substantial action. True patriotism is not a feeling, but an act! And those who blame and hate America can not equate their hatred with America with one who is willing to die for their country in the act of defense for their country!
