My current nit to pick is non-partisan: I’m hearing this from folk I detest and folk I support.
When you are elected as a representative of the people, I strongly urge you speak like you had some formal education.
When did it become acceptable to say words like, tuh and furh??
Listening to the so called educated, often with degrees of various kinds, it’s hard to tell they left their hillbilly life behind after they got people to vote for them.
Take a look at your degrees, ladies and gentlemen – do you see the words tuh or furh?
Now listen to any speech by the President, current or immediately past. Count the tuh’s and furh’s.
Gentlemen, the words are TO and FOR !!!!
You are FAILING the privilege your degrees conferred on you when you speak lazy talk.
Washoe the signing chimp spoke better English than most politicians, these days.
If only such educated animals could be on the ballot, America might be in better shape.
