Uh… who are the idiots running around proclaiming that some of our founding fathers weren’t Christians? Of course they were! And a lot of them were deists and some were agnostic and some were atheists.

The fact that some, if not most of them were of the Christian faith is without doubt.

The belief that we were formed as a “Christian Nation” however is dead wrong.

So dead wrong that our forefathers, in their wisdom and understanding of freedom and liberty, made SURE that the word “God” and/or “Jesus” was nowhere to be found in our official documents of the founding of America.

Jefferson and Washington later on even made sure to spell this fact out for people of their time (and future generations).

Make no mistake, and I’m not “hating” here, but America was not founded on ANY one religious viewpoint or creed. We are not a Christian nation.

Are we a nation of Christians? For the most part. Were the founding fathers overwhelmingly of the Christian faith, yes.

But that’s where it ends and with good reason. Revolution freed these people from religious tyranny. They made sure… damned sure…. that their founding documents would not be used to do the same to future generations.

Thank GOD… literally… that they didn’t allow their own beliefs to interfere..
