If you love America, then it is the time to stand up and not allow this to happen.

Tomorrow is too late, today is all we have. If you truly love your country then you cannot sit silent on this issue, or any issue any longer. If you continue down this path of silence then you will deserve what is in store for each and every one of us – if we sit silent.

Congress wake up from your sleep of immoral behavior and defend this country as you claimed you would, or leave office and someone who cares about this nation will do it for you!

This type of thinking from anyone in congress or the White House cannot be tolerated by any US Citizen. If this is allowed to pass, may God help us all…

On October 14th 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change expert, gave a presentation at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in which he issued a dire warning regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty which is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

With all due respect to MHernandez, constitutionally ignorant US citizens deserve to shake in their boots at the thought of being forced to comply with foreign laws where things like the Copenhagen Treaty are concerned.

The truth of the matter is, that given that the federal Constitution says nothing about climate issues, the 10th Amendment automatically reserves government power to regulate such issues to the states, not the Oval Office and the Senate. So regardless of Obama’s power to negotiate treaties, he cannot use that power as a back door to exercise constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers, forcing US citizens to comply with foreign laws dealing with climate issues in this case.

But if you don’t believe me then perhaps you’ll believe a constitutional expert.

“Surely the President and Senate cannot do by treaty what the whole government is interdicted from doing in any way.” –Thomas Jefferson: Parliamentary Manual, 1800. http://www.constitution.org/tj/tj-mpp.htm

Also, consider Jefferson’s remedy concerning constitutionally clueless socialist pawns like Obama who unthinkingly exercise constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.

“Where powers are assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy.” –Thomas Jefferson: Draft Kentucky Resolutions, 1798. http://tinyurl.com/oozoo

With all due respect to you, Mr. Johnson, although I completely agree with you that the Constitution mandates 10th Amdt Rights, can you show me one governor or state legislation who/that actually exercises their 10th Amdt Rights? Furthermore, the Constitution also structures the boundaries of the POTUS and Obama didn’t care about that, nor did the Demonrat party, nor did Congress, nor the media, nor any other state, when they vetted his qualifications to run for POTUS.

In addition to that the POTUS can sign treaty if it’s ratified by the Senate and that treaty has all the power of the Constitution backing it.

I guess what I’m trying to say is since when did Congress Critters or Obama or governors, or state legislators start caring for the Constitution? When did the American people start caring? If the American people start taking aggressive action the Constitution will just be an ancient piece of paper.

Mr. Johnson when did anyone in our congress follow the constitution?

Just because it is written on a piece of paper does not mean squat to these people. So you better shake in your boots if you think for one minute they will not try to pass this regardless of the 10th amendment.

Ignorance sir is to sit and believe you are protected especially when Bush signed away half your freedoms under the Patriot Act. You better start doing your homework and realize that just because your so-called freedoms are listed on a piece of paper, it doesn’t mean they have to abide by them because they know that MEN and WOMEN of America will just sit on their backside with their smug attitudes such as yours.

Freedom Mr. Johnson is not free. You have to continue to earn it, or they will take it away regardless of what you or anyone else believes.

    Good day Mr. Johnson.

Mr. Johnson, please read the following…

    [snip]
    6. But why the fuss, some might ask, if we’re protected by the First Amendment? First, if the U.S. backs a resolution that urges the suppression of some speech, presumably we are taking the view that all countries — including the U.S. — should adhere to this resolution. If we are constitutionally barred from adhering to it by our domestic constitution, then we’re implicitly criticizing that constitution, and committing ourselves to do what we can to change it.

So to be consistent with our position here, the Administration would presumably have to take what steps it can to ensure that supposed “hate speech” that incites hostility will indeed be punished. It would presumably be committed to filing amicus briefs supporting changes in First Amendment law to allow such punishment, and in principle perhaps the appointment of Justices who would endorse such changes (or even the proposal of express constitutional amendments that would work such changes).

So much for us constitutional ignorant Americans, eh Mr. Johnson? But, hey what would a professor of law know anyway… After all, we are just ignorant Americans…
