It will determine which states gain seats in Congress and which ones lose them.

It will divert billions in federal funds to states and cities with the greatest number of illegal aliens.

It will support the conviction that America has become a bi-lingual country.

It will allocate of billions of taxpayers’ dollars to special interest groups, such as NAACP, Fundacion Azteca, Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Push Coalition, and Acorn.

The dice have been loaded.

The results of the 2010 Census will be snake-eyes for the conservatives, Christians, and Caucasians who now inhabit the once fabled land of the free and the home of the brave.

Last February, Mr. Obama assumed complete control of the 2010 Census in sharp violation of Article 1, Section 2, of the Constitution.

This Article, which concerns the legislative rather than executive branch of government, stipulates that the “enumeration” be conducted by a commerce official under the supervision of the Senate and the House of Representations. It reads:

Representation and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers … . The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they (the House of Representatives and the Senate) shall by Law direct.

When the Oval Office side-stepped this stipulation, Senator Judd Greg, who was then Mr. Obama’s choice as Secretary of Commerce, announced his withdrawal from consideration.

“This was simply a bridge too far for me,” Mr. Greg said.

When Mr. Locke’s appointment was announced, Michael Steel, a spokesman for House minority leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said: “The first question for Gov. Locke is whether he will block the brazen attempt by the White House to take over the traditionally non-partisan census. To be more than a figurehead, Gov. Locke must promise to keep politics out of the census by keeping control of it in the Commerce Department.”

Despite this concern, Mr. Locke sailed through his confirmation hearings without raising a squawk from Congressman Boehner and his fellow Republicans.

Last month, when asked, “What will be this White House’s role in the Census,” Mr. Locke responded by saying: “I serve at the pleasure of the president.”

Proof that control of the head counting remains within the Oval Office came with Mr. Obama’s recent appointment of Robert M. Groves as Census Chief.

“With the nomination of Robert Groves, President Obama has made clear that he intends to employ the political manipulation of census data for partisan gain,” North Carolina Congressman Patrick McHenry quipped. Other lawmakers called Groves an “incredibly troubling selection” who must be watched for “statistical sleight of hand.”

As an associate census director in the 1990s, Groves angered Republicans by supporting a statistical adjustment to compensate for the 1990 undercount — a move that was eventually squashed by the then Republican Commerce Secretary overseeing the Census Bureau. The Supreme Court later ruled that statistical sampling cannot be used to apportion congressional seats, but can be used for other purposes, such as legislative redistricting and, of course, doling out dollars.

Mr. Groves supported the use of statistical sampling during the 2000 census to make up for a projected under count of about 5 million people. This method basically “creates” non-existent people to account for individuals who may have been missed during the actual head count, and assigns imagined race, sex, income and other details according to a bureau formula.

The obvious problem with this method is that it also creates “imaginary voters” since census totals determine representation for those voters in the U.S. House of Representatives. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on this issue in 1999 saying this method was prohibited as far as using it for the apportionment of U.S. House districts. The court left open the possibility of using this method to determine how those districts are drawn however.

While Groves said the use of sampling in 2010 was unlikely given the little time remaining, he would not say whether he would support other measures such as a government halt to immigration raids. “I will work with all agencies of government to assure the best census this country can achieve,” Groves wrote when asked if he would seek to scale back border enforcement.

Will the southern border be left wide open for the sake of the Census?

Will a record number of illegal Latinos swarm into cities throughout the Southwest to inflate the Census results?

Could this happen without law-enforcement officials and border patrol agents sounding the alarm and major news outlets reporting that the Census will be artificially swollen with Latinos?

The answer to all of the above is yes.

The Obama Administration has asked immigration agents to curb the enforcement of existing laws and to turn a blind-eye to the expected influx of hundreds of thousands of wetbacks.

Deputy Census Director Preston Jay Waite says that raids on illegals occurred during the population count would make a “distrustful group” less likely to cooperate with government workers who are obliged to include them in the head count.

When asked if the immigration enforcement agency would suspend raids during the 2010 Census, Immingration and Naturalization spokeswoman Pat Reilly said, “If we were, we wouldn’t talk about it.”

“We’re an investigative agency,” Ms. Reilly added. “We don’t talk about how we target our enforcement activities.”

The policy of leaving the back door to America wide open in order to bloat Census figures is not without precedent. It was employed in 2000 when President George W. Bush inhabited the Oval Office. But, unlike Mr. Obama, Mr. Bush did not control the outcome of the head count.

A Center for Immigration Studies report revealed that many low-immigration states which might seem unaffected by immigration are in fact experiencing a significant erosion of their political influence in Washington. For example, the presence of illegal aliens in high-immigration states, including California and Arizona, caused Indiana, Michigan, and Mississippi to each lose one seat in the House in 2000, while Montana failed to gain a seat it otherwise would have.

Illegal immigration not only redistributes seats in the House, it also affects presidential elections because the Electoral College is based on the size of congressional delegations.

Mr. Obama has adopted a further means to guarantee the outcome so that the redistribution will serve his agenda.

A whopping $14 billion has been set aside for the Census.

With this money, Mr. Obama has obtained the services of “Census partners” – - organizations that will assist the Commerce department in the head count.

A lion’s share of the $14 billion has been set aside for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform, better known as ACORN.

During the last two election cycles, Acorn was under investigation for election fraud and related offenses in nearly 20 states.

As Mr. Obama knows very well, no one is better than Acorn at cooking the books and falsifying records.

Mr. David Reichert

Republican Representative

Dear Mr. Reichert,

Please, resign your seat in the U.S. House of Representatives because of your “Yes” vote in favor of the abominable “Cap and Trade” or “Climate Change” bill – and without having even read the final bill in its entirety before voting on it.  Your egregious voting record does not represent me, or of any Republican that I know.

 

Since your debut in Congress, I have been watching your sorry voting rating, from the American Conservative Union (ACU), steadily decline from a score of 64 (out of 100) in 2005, to a low, thus far, of 48 in 2007 – you have voted consistently with the fringe Left of the Republican party in the House – even more so the last two years under Speaker Pelosi.  Sir, you are a RINO’s RINO if there ever was one.

 

I knew something was drastically broken with your moral compass when, right out of the gate in 2005, on that Palm Sunday, when you voted against allowing a federal intervention in the Terri Schiavo state murder, where you helped deny her loving family from merely giving their daughter some comforting water, while she was slowly, and painfully starved to death.  Her cruel death at the hands of the State, would never, ever have been allowed to take place in such a manner if ending the life of the most monstrous inmate on death row.  Please, resign your seat, now.

 

Which segues us to your buddy, Gary Ridgeway – one of the most prolific serial killers of all time – who you have ridden to fame and power by single-handedly “apprehending” him!  How’s Mr. Ridgeway faring these days – continuing to fantasize until he dies of old age about his 50, 60, 70(?) horrific strangulations of beautiful, innocent girls?  Oh, and the necrophilia!  In your coming retirement, perhaps Gary can join you, on furloughs you have arranged, to mind the gift shop part-time at your Green River Killer Catcher museum?  Or, rather, how about giving Gary a little of the treatment you gave Terri?

 

I’ve observed your many, many votes in favor of prolific federal spending, especially for out-of-control social programs galore, your votes against curbs on pork and spending limits, your votes to continue a moratorium on domestic oil and gas drilling and exploration, in favor of Orwellian “hate-crime” laws, skyrocketing the federal minimum wage, expanding the laws for union bosses to continue their thuggery in the labor markets, and expansion of embryonic stem cell research.  Which planks of the Republican Platform do you actually believe in besides supporting our military personnel?  You even voted on a gigantic pork-filled bailout bill recently which you didn’t even read!  Please, resign, now.

 

On the eve of voting on the ridiculous “Cap and Trade” monster energy-tax bill, based on the most dubious “science” ever, I called your office in Washington, D.C.  I asked the girl who answered what your position was on the bill.  She said that you didn’t have one.  Really?  Just a few hours before the big vote?  I didn’t ask her how your were going to vote – just what your current position was.  I then asked her if you took an Oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution when you assumed your office.  She said she didn’t really know.  I asked if you, or she, knew anything about our Constitution, such as what the Amendment X actually means.  Again, she really couldn’t tell me anything.  Question:  Does your call answerer play with her Silky Pony and Barbie dolls when she’s not answering calls for you in the Big Office?  Funny, but I’m willing to bet anything, based on all of my observations, that you and she probably have the same depth of understanding of our Constitution – which now lies in tatters – precisely because power-hungry clowns such as yourself continue to violate it daily.

 

Case in point: You don’t even read the legislation in its final form, in its entirety before voting on it – such as was the case again with the “Cap and Trade” bill.  We can prove this in this case because at least three hundred pages of revisions were submitted at 3:00am last Friday morning, mere hours before the vote.  Making the final copy of the bill well over 1,200 pages – it was a physical impossibility for ANYONE in the House to have read a final copy of the bill, in its entirety, before voting on it.  And I watched the circus unfold on C-SPAN, and what I witnessed was not due process and proper deliberation – but an abomination.  But you, Sir, voted “Yes” on it anyway – screw the American People and the Citizens of the 8^th District of Washington and their ‘representation’ in Congress.

 

Mr. Reichert, resign your seat in Congress.  You now epitomize what is wrong with our system and why it is broken.  To paraphrase an American hero, Ronald Reagan, “You, Sir, are not a part of the solution – you are the problem.”  I am told I am to refer to you as “The Honorable” congressman, but your actions do not warrant it.  I will, continue to use ‘Sir’, as I would like to express just enough respect to encourage you to resign honorably.

 

Better yet, assuming you and your ilk want desperately to retain your power and perks, please consider defecting to the Demonrat party.  I’d be willing to bet they’d make a very cushy position for you in a heartbeat.  Turn in your tarnished star, empty holster, and empty suit to your nearest Republican office, and start walking toward enemy lines to be welcomed.  You are no longer welcome here.  We’ve had enough of you.  GO!!

Suspected "ring leader" in double murder. Even now with a smirk on her face!

Three people suspected of killing a 9-year-old Arivaca girl and her father late last month were arraigned in Pima County Superior Court Monday on multiple felony counts, including first-degree murder.

The three are accused in the slayings of Brisenia Flores, 9, and Raul Junior Flores, 29, and the attempted murder of Gina Marie Gonzalez.

In addition to two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder, the three are facing burglary, aggravated-assault and robbery charges in the May 30 incident.

Gonzalez called 911 in the middle of the night on May 30 to report that several men and a woman claiming to be police officers forced their way into her home. She told authorities one of the men killed her husband and daughter, and wounded her in the leg.

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik said at the time that Raul Flores was suspected of being a drug dealer, and the three suspects targeted the house with the intention of stealing money and drugs.

Forde’s family members have said Forde told her brother and her mother earlier this year that she planned to start attacking drug traffickers on the Arizona-Mexico border and robbing them.

Forde, a Washington state resident, was allegedly going to use the proceeds to fund a group called Minutemen American Defense to fight illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

Authorities have said Gaxiola, an Arivaca resident, was used by Forde and Bush to gather intelligence on drug traffickers. Police records released last week indicate Gonzalez told investigators her husband and Gaxiola got into a dispute last year because Gaxiola was storing marijuana on their property.

Prosecutors have until 60 days after the arraignment to announce if they intend to seek the death penalty.

Bush, another member of Minutemen American Defense, is also charged in the 1997 stabbing death of a homeless Hispanic man in Wenatchee, Wash.

U.S. reverses Afghan drug policy, eyes August vote

TRIESTE, Italy, June 27 (Reuters) – Washington is to dramatically overhaul its Afghan anti-drug strategy, phasing out opium poppy eradication, the U.S. envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan told allies on Saturday.

Richard Holbrooke, attending a G8 conference on stabilising Afghanistan, also discussed efforts to support its Aug. 20 election. Washington has nearly doubled its troops to combat a growing Taliban insurgency and provide security for the vote.

“The Western policies against the opium crop, the poppy crop, have been a failure. They did not result in any damage to the Taliban, but they put farmers out of work,” Holbrooke told Reuters after a series of bilateral meetings in Italy.

“We are not going to support crop eradication. We’re going to phase it out,” he said. The emphasis would instead be on intercepting drugs and chemicals used to make them, and going after drug lords.

He said some crop eradication may still be allowed, but only in limited areas.

Afghanistan supplies more than 90 percent of the world’s heroin.

Despite the millions of dollars spent on counter-narcotics efforts, drug production kept rising dramatically until last year — U.N. figures indicate Afghanistan’s opiate output has risen more than 40-fold since the 2001 U.S.-led invasion.

Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said Holbrooke told delegates the United States planned to cut back funding for eradication while allocating several hundred million dollars to support legal crop cultivation.

The head of the U.N. Office of Drugs and Crime, told Reuters the old U.S. eradication strategy had been “a sad joke”.

“Sad because many, many Afghan policemen and soldiers … have been killed and only about 5,000 hectares were eradicated, about 3 percent of the volume,” Antonio Maria Costa said.

Iran declined to attend the event but Antonio Maria Costa, head of the U.N. Office of Drugs and Crime, told Reuters it was strongly committed to a regional effort to tackle trafficking from Afghanistan and had begun joint counter-narcotics operations with Afghan and Pakistani authorities.

“This is very new, it has not happened in the past.”

U.S. President Barack Obama has put Afghanistan and Pakistan at the centre of his foreign agenda and launched a new strategy aimed at defeating al Qaeda and stabilising Afghanistan.

The 45 nations and multilateral organisations at the conference issued a statement pledging to look at ways to boost humanitarian aid to Pakistan, where nearly 2 million people have been displaced by fighting.

Holbrooke said allies were not doing enough.

“The U.S. is by far the largest contributor (of aid) to the refugee relief crisis in Pakistan. I don’t mind that … But other countries are not doing the right amount in my view,” he said, adding some foreign ministers had told him privately that their countries could do more.

Afghanistan’s upcoming vote is seen as a crucial moment for Afghan President Hamid Karzai and for Washington and delegates — with Iranian post-election turmoil fresh in their minds — stressed the importance of it being free, fair and credible.

Karzai called on the Taliban and their allies on Saturday to vote rather than attempt to disrupt the polls, a call applauded by Frattini, who said Arab League and Gulf countries were “particularly interested” in encouraging them to vote.

Holbrooke said senior members of the U.S. government were calling the vote “the most important event of the year”.

“The fairness of those elections will determine the credibility and legitimacy of the government. We have just seen a spectacularly bad example just next door in Iran,” he said.

“And in these situations, governance becomes more difficult. So, at the end of the process, we would like to see a government elected by its people in a way that is credible and viewed as legitimate by the people and the international community.”

Afghan Foreign Minister Rangeen Dadfar Spanta told Reuters that Kabul aimed for a free and fair election, but added: “We have to recognise the reality, and the reality of Afghanistan, regarding violence, regarding the weak state.”

Holbrooke said it was too soon for Pakistan to declare victory in its Swat valley, where the army has driven back Taliban insurgents.

“The true test is when the refugees go back to Swat. Will they have security? Will they be protected?”, he said.

“Will the army be able to keep the Taliban from coming back down over the hills? And the bill for reconstruction in Swat is going to be enormous — over a billion dollars, maybe over 2 billion.” (Additional reporting by Adrian Croft; Writing by Phil Stewart; Editing by Kevin Liffey)
