Update: See Miss Manners on the protocol. Americans do not bow to foreign monarchs because that act signified the monarch’s power over his subjects.

Amen! This is what happens when we no longer believe in the motto: “No King but Jesus!” that our founding fathers believed in. This declaration is the foundation of the American form of government. The subject of King Jesus absolutely cannot and should not willingly bow down to any earthly potentate. It is especially and utterly unbecoming for the leader of a free nation to do such a disgraceful act.
