Xmas Wars – The Empire Strikes Again

It's Called Christmas, Pal!

It's Called Christmas, Pal!

by -ThoughtRogue

Yes, once again our uber-enlightened Governor, here in the Soviet of Washington, has sanctified the Atheist’s war on Christmas (not to mention Christianity) by allowing a large plaque to be displayed right next to a nativity scene in the state Capitol’s rotunda.  Under the guise of “free speech” and “equal public access”, our esteemed rulers somehow miss the fact that the Atheists’ “display” has no symbolism supporting their own belief system, but is rather an overt attack upon other citizens’ religion and their beliefs.

Would the state find it acceptable for a scorching display by the Anti-Negro Communionto make their symbolic claim that all people of darker skin shall burn in the Lake of Fire this Christmas season – as a simple expression of their faith?  How about the KKK?  Somehow, I don’t think free speech, or free exercise of religion, or anything else would justify this display in our Capitol’s rotunda.  Has anyone ever tried to hold a rational conversation or ‘debate’ with a so-called “Atheist” [Anti-theist]??  Good Luck.

BTW – Their rant calls for “reason” to prevail “this season of the Winter Solstice”?  Huh?  Last time I checked, the winter solstice was a singular point in time – not an entire “season” conveniently coinciding with the bashing of Christians while they celebrate the birth of their spiritual Savior.  Second, wasn’t the worship of annual celestial events the traditional domain of fairies, nymphs, pagans, and assorted shamans – surely not by the high-brow high priests of the Atheist’s own “religion”?

    Yes, here:

    http://www.khq.com/Global/story.asp?S=9461473

    I’ve made three statements about this so far. One (bottom one) has already been removed. But you’re right when TR says:

    “Under the guise of “free speech” and “equal public access”, our esteemed rulers somehow miss the fact that the Atheists’ “display” has no symbolism supporting their own belief system, but is rather an overt attack upon other citizens’ religion and their beliefs.”

    This is pure hatred from these people. That’s all. There’s simply no other reason for them to post a sign saying such garbage.

    TR asks:

    “Has anyone ever tried to hold a rational conversation or ‘debate’ with a so-called “Atheist” [Anti-theist]??”

    I’ll answer that; Of course not. There’s no point wasting time with people whose arrogance and egos have gotten that far ahead of themselves. Like our “uber-enlightened Governor.” She’s a waste of time. Of course she’s also a waste of all of our $$ but that’s another subject isn’t it ?

    ============

    “As Scribbles says:

    “But many people don’t want Christians to have a voice anymore…”

    That’s what this is really about. Silencing Christians. Forcing them “into the closet.”

    This is just another part of the cultural war of hatred being waged on Christians and Christianity.

    These atheists ALSO have a religious like faith in their OWN ideas ! They’ve made a huge assumption. An assumption that their “rational, scientific” approach gives them full access to external reality. It doesn’t.

    Only when mens egos attempt to take the place of God do we see statements like these.

    So much for humility from the ATHEISTS

    =======

    “The only reason some “atheist” would put a sign up like that is to display his/her hatred for Christians and Christianity.

    Just because there’s a nativity scene on display somewhere doesn’t mean anyone is forcing religion on anyone else. No one HAS to look at or even acknowledge it.

    It’s impossible not to acknowledge the hate that motivated this statement on display by atheists though.

    The message is “We hate Christians and don’t approve of their nativity display. Take it down !”

    Sickening.

    ========

    We must ask ourselves why it’s so important for these atheists to use sophistry, lies and rhetoric to convince us that there’s no God ?

    Why is it so important to them that they’ll use lies and contradictory statements such as:

    “There is only our natural world.”

    Contradictory statement.

    Scientific truth is NOT the whole truth. It can’t make the case for naturalism or materialism because it operates WITHIN naturalism and materialism. Science is incapable of answering questions about the nature or purpose of reality. Science merely tries to answer the question, “How does it behave?” To say “There is only our natural world.” is not only ridiculous but is making an almost religious, faith like claim !!

    “Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

    Lie. A smoke and mirrors tactic used to COVER arrogance, ignorance and the religious like faith in their OWN ideas ! They’re making a huge assumption. An assumption that their rational, scientific approach gives them full access to external reality. It does NOT. Only when mens egos attempt to take the place of God do we see statements like these.

    Someone stole their sign?

    Shocking! Just Shocking!

    Of course, they failed to mention the hundreds of vandalized Nativity displays each year, along with the stolen baby Jesus’s that we will invariably suffer the loss of this Christmas season…

    Yeah, why don’t they go bash Ramadan… I’m sure the Muzzies would leave their sign alone…

    NC,

    Oh, yeah… I forgot to tell you that CNN swapped out your article you linked to with one whining about the “theft” of the Athiest’s sign.

    A note was left – “Thou Shalt Not Steal…”

    Yes, and your point is ?

    Would you maybe be making an assumption that some Christian stole/moved it ?

    Of course we don’t actually KNOW who stole/moved it. It might have been a Christian it might not have been.

    Do you have more to say on the matter ? Or are you just here to tell us what the Bible says ? – you’ve got lot of typing to do if that’s the case :-)

    “the only people crying about the sign are Christians that I’ve seen.”

    You’re another misguided and hateful ATHEIST who wants to shut down all expressions of Christian faith.

    You tell us:

    “Never the less, an atheist wouldn’t steal it,….”

    Awfully sure of yourself you are. I’m curious how you know an atheist WOULDN’T steal it ?

    Careful bulldog. That argument can cut both ways. This group of tiny minded atheists could make the same claims about OUR sign. It would fit well into their war on Americas Christian history and todays Christians.

    Keep in mind that these pea brains definitely don’t represent the majority of atheists. Most atheists could give a shit about nativity scene displays or any other religious symbols or words in our culture. It’s the atheist idiots that make a lot of ridiculous noises because they’re ruled by hate and ignorance.

    Their statement:

    “Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

    Is clear proof of that. And they’ll post a sign saying such nonsense. It’s comical actually. No one is pistol whipping anyone into attending church or anything LOL This “Freedom From Religion” group is funny actually.

    Misguided arrogance, ignorance and a religious like faith in their own ignorance ! Funny in a strange kind of way. Maybe I have a strange sense of humor :-) The mentally deranged have always fascinated me :-)

    Perhaps Christmas should be abolished. Make it just another work day like they did in Albania under Hoxha. If two little children can’t stop fighting over a toy and grow up, the toy should just be taken away from both of them.
