I’m sure we’ll all be linking to this video today. John Ziegler interviews Obama voters to gauge their knowledge of various issues that came up during the election, and gets very … entertaining results. His new website, How Obama Got Elected, marries this with a more disturbing report from Zogby that emphasizes a great deal of ignorance in the vote:
Let’s start with Zogby’s numbers. The poll surveyed over 500 self-professed Obama voters and has an MOE of 4.4%, with 55% having a college degree and over 90% having a high-school diploma. It asked 12 multiple-choice questions; only 2.4% got at least 11 correct. Only .5% got all them correct.
> 57.4 could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
> 81.8 could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
> 82.6 could NOT correctly say that Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
> 88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
> 56.1 % could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).And yet…..
> Only 13.7% failed to identify Palin as the person their party spent $150,000 in clothes on
> Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter
> And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!
On the last point, though, Palin was the only candidate from Alaska. Palin did state that one could see Russia from the state as an answer to an interview question about her foreign-policy credentials. I don’t believe that the survey gave Fey as a choice, so Palin would have been the obvious answer from those provided.
However, the rest of these results show the abysmal state of media coverage of Barack Obama. It’s not that the voters couldn’t absorb data provided to them by the Tanning Bed Media; these voters quite obviously learned plenty about Sarah Palin. In the video, the subjects demonstrate that by assigning every stupid thing said on the campaign trail to Palin whether she said it or not. Meanwhile, no one can figure out what Barack Obama said, how he conducted his campaign, or his political history.
As for the video, without the Zogby poll, it would be hilarious but without context. Anyone can find fools for “man on the street” interviews; Jay Leno does it as a regular staple for the Tonight Show. Zogby’s poll shows that Ziegler’s video is no anomaly. Wait for the end, where the ignorant endorse their favorite media outlets, which is the real highlight of this project.

Of course, “Дева обезьяна” gets her news from Steven Colbert and Jon Stewart, which puts her in the same category as the O’Reilly Factor crowd at 54 percent of the viewers scoring in the “high knowledge” category.
Although “Дева обезьяна” looks like a 19-year-old, she is actually MUCH older than that, which would tend to put her in that “high knowledge” category.
So, I would say that Дева обезьяна DOES know a LOT more about Obama and his predilection towards Communism and Totalitarianism than most of the voters out there.
Too bad all that knowledge does not necessarily transfer into common sense.

Here’s the problem I have with that article. I watch Bill O’Reilly and so do many other Liberals. Many conservatives also watch Leftist comedy on Comedy Central. I cannot imagine that my friends, family and I are the only ones who listen to shows “out of their politosphere” on TV. It just can’t be a coincidence.
I also listen to Republican talk radio. I find it very refreshing and entertaining to get alternative views even if I don’t agree with them. And some conservatives listen to Liberal news to have something to talk about in their blogs.
So, with that said, I take that article with a grain of salt – especially since it’s from *gasps* THE LIBERAL MEDIA! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, Ima hafta get my Russian friends afta yas.

I have LOTS of Russian friends. In fact, I selected my daughter’s pediatrician because she was from Russia! But, amongst all of those who I count as my friends, only one of them is still a Communist.
And, ALL of them fled from Communist Russia.
Unsurprisingly, they all voted for McCain – even the Communist.
Why? Because they have seen Obama’s type before and don’t want America to go down that road – it’s a dead end…
But, I digressed…
Anyway, I just wanted to mention that at least we have one thing in common – I watch Colbert, also. So, smoke your joint, and I’ll catch ya’ later.

Why Os- Obama REALLY got elected is that much of America learned that when you put some guy in the whitehouse who blows smoke up the entire countries backside about how he’s a conservative and stands for conservative values – blah blah blah – who THEN hands us the most dangerous liberal poliies we’ve seen in YEARS; he’s nearly ruined us economically, he’s started a war with a dangerous part of the world and allowed the most idiotic war policies – the list gets too long…
… Americans are thinking that the most liberal nitwit in govt. who probably isn’t even QUALIFIED to BE the president may ACTUALLY give us 4 to 8 years of real CONSERVATIVE AND COMMON SENSE policy !!!
Our system of govt. is so incredibly effed up and corrupt right now what other choice do we HAVE ?
“We the people” have been scoffed at and insulted by our corrupt judicial branch which will continue to be allowed to do the job of the legislative branch. Because “we the sheeple” and the other two branches of govt. allow it.
So this is where we’re at. We expect our elected politicians to do the exact opposite of what they tell us. They’ve become misbehaved teenagers. When their mouth is moving they’re lying.
“We the sheeple” stay ignorant, fat, stupid and lazy. We don’t care. As long as we have our football, our porno our “medical” marijuana and the “right” to have sex with anything that gets our naughty parts tingling we’re fine. The corrupt liars that are our “politicians” know this and keep us dumbed down via the mainstream media and “education” system.
