“Some senior Bush administration officials and top Republican lawmakers are voicing anger that American spy agencies have not issued more ominous warnings about the threats that they say Iran presents to the United States.” New York Times: Mark Mazzetti, August 24, 2006 [1]
“Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich says America is in World War III and President Bush should say so. In an interview in Bellevue this morning Gingrich said Bush should call a joint session of Congress the first week of September and talk about global military conflicts in much starker terms than have been heard from the president.”
The Seattle Times: David Postman, July 15, 2006 [2]
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manip- ulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”
Edward Bernays: “Propaganda,” 1928 [3]
“Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”
President Woodrow Wilson: “The New Freedom,” 1913 [4]
“The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self-created screen. It seizes in its long and power(ful) tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers, and every agency created for the public protection.”
Mayor John Hylan, New York Times, 1922 [5]
“The president is a member. So is his secretary of state, the deputy secretary of state, all five of the undersecretaries, several of the assistant secretaries and the department’s legal adviser. The president’s national security adviser and his deputy are members. The director of Central Intelligence (like all previous directors) and the chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board are members.” Richard Harwood: “Ruling Class Journalists,” Washington Post, October 30, 1993 [6]
The Bush administration claims Iran will be able to produce nuclear weapons within a few months, but the CIA doesn’t agree with that assessment. They claim Iran won’t be able to build nuclear weapons for 5-10 years. Which assessment is correct? This, and a subsequent series of Radio Liberty letters, will address that subject, and the growing threat of war.
A front-page article in the August 24, 2006, edition of The New York Times states:
“Some senior Bush administration officials and top Republican lawmakers are voicing anger that American spy agencies have not issued more ominous warnings about the threats that they say Iran presents to the United States.
Some policy makers have accused intelligence agencies of playing down Iran’s role in Hezbollah’s recent attacks against Israel and overestimating the time it would take for Iran to build a nuclear weapon. . . . They echo the tensions that divided the administration and the Central Intelligence Agency during the prelude to the war in Iraq.”[7]
Paul Craig Roberts, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during the Reagan administration, wrote:
“Alarmed by the neoconservative drive to start a war with Iran before the US can extricate itself from the Iraq catastrophe, the CIA firmly declared that any Iranian nuclear weapon is a decade away. This undermines the neoconservatives’ urgency to attack Iran now.
Neoconservative fanatics tried to discredit the CIA with a recent report by the House Intelligence Committee Republican staff written by neoconservative Frederick Fleitz, a protege of neocon heavyweight John Bolton, a person active in concocting the false case for war against Iraq. Fleitz alleges that the CIA is a know-nothing agency that lacks the ability to assess Iran’s ability to make nuclear weapons.
Neocons also dismiss the findings of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which issued a report on August 31 reaffirming that there is no tangible proof that Iran’s nuclear energy program has a military aspect.”[8]
Despite the fact that a recent poll reveals 60% of the American people believe the U.S. attack on Iraq was a mistake, the Bush administration wants to attack Iran. Russia and China oppose the effort to impose UN sanctions on Iran because they trade with that country, but may agree to our request because they know the U.S. cannot defeat Iran militarily, and an extended conflict in the Middle East will destroy the financial stability of our nation.
Newt Gingrich is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He helped establish the U.S. Commission on National Security/21st Century that studied terrorism, and is associated with the Spiritual-New Age Hierarchy that directs the course of world events.[9] On July 15, 2006, The Seattle Times reported:
“Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich says America is in World War III and President Bush should say so. In an interview in Bellevue this morning Gingrich said Bush should call a joint session of Congress the first week of September and talk about global military conflicts in much starker terms than have been heard from the president.”[10]
On July 20, 2006, the UK Guardian published an article by Newt Gingrich that stated:
“The civilized world stands balanced between victory and defeat. The long road to victory begins with the free world helping the Lebanese democracy defeat Hizbullah, expelling the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and removing all of the 10,000 plus missiles aimed at Israel from Lebanon. . . . The nature of the threat – with Iran at the epicenter – is at its core ideological. . . . The events of just the last seven weeks throughout the world share the common strategic goal of defeating the West and its values. It could be accurately described as a third world war. . . . The free world must stand up to the barbarism or be defeated by it. . . . In this crisis of civilization, with nerve and steady focus it is possible to win a decisive victory.”[11]
I believe Newt Gingrich is correct. I believe the U.S. is on the verge of World War III. Who is the enemy? President Bush claims we are “fighting terrorism,” some people claim we are fighting “radical Islam,” and others claim the terrorists “hate us because we are free.” All of those concepts are wrong. Edward Bernays developed the propaganda/mind-control techniques that are being used to get the American people to hate Moslems, and Moslems to hate Americans. He wrote:
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”[12]
Edward Bernays referred to an invisible government. Does the U.S. have “an invisible government?” Yes. A small group of powerful men (and a few women) have controlled the United States for over 100 years. President Woodrow Wilson wrote about them in his book, The New Freedom (1913).
“Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men’s views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”[13]
James W. Gerard was the American Ambassador to Germany prior to World War I. He wrote about the covert movement in his book, My First Eighty-three Years in America:
“Shortly after our return to America the New York Times sent a reporter to ask me the names of the ‘rulers of America.’ Sitting in my office that afternoon, I gave the reporter a list. They amounted finally to fifty-two, and of course, as Ferdinand Lundberg says in his book Sixty Families, it was quite evident that I added some personal friends to the list. . . . Of course my list of ‘rulers’ referred to economic headship, but it was taken generally to mean the men who ruled America not only economically but politically.”[14]
John Hylan was the Mayor of New York in 1922. He wrote:
“The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self-created screen. It seizes in its long and power(ful) tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers, and every agency created for the public protection. . . let me say at the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller-Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as the inter- national bankers. . . . They practically control both political parties, write political platforms, make catspaws of party leaders, use the leading men in private organizations, and resort to every device to place in nomination for high public office only such candidates as will be amenable to the dictates of corrupt big business. . . . They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government.”[15]
Professor Carroll Quigley studied the secret movement and wrote about it in his book, Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World In Our Time:
“There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the radical Right believes the Communists act. . . . I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret records. . . .”[16]

“The next 15 years may well be the age of superterrorism, when they gain access to weapons of mass destruction and show a new willingness to use them. . . . Terrorists in the early years of the twenty-first century will reflect the causes that excite passion and move people to violence . . . conflict will increase until a new stasis or ‘world order’ is established.” –Futurist magazine: November-December 1994 [1]
“The war against terrorism is a war with an unlimited number of battles, none of them decisive. . . . People will have to accept longer lines before entering buildings, longer delays at airports, more intrusive searches of belongings and our persons, and higher ticket prices to pay for all of this. . . . Greater vigilance will also involve a willingness to compromise some of our civil liberties, including accepting more frequent phone taps and surveillance.” –Richard Haass, Current Chairman CFR, August 4, 1996 [2]
Have the American people been told the truth about the events that took place on 9/11? Does a small group (several hundred people) control most of the media outlets, most banks, most corporations, both political parties, and the presidency of the United States? If that is true, why hasn’t someone told the American people?
Part II of this series, “The True Story of 9/11” discussed the men and the organizations that control most of the wealth of our nation. Some people call them “The Invisible Government,” other people call them “The Occult Hierarchy,” I call them “The Brotherhood of Darkness (BOD).” How did they obtain their wealth and power? I believe they are energized by “spiritual entities that bridge the gap between the visible world and the spiritual dimension”. Why do I believe that is true? Because organizations like the Lucis Trust (which reflects the views of the spiritual entities), discusses their Plan. You can read about them at www.lucistrust.org. What is their goal? They want to establish a world government, destroy Christianity, and install a world leader.[3] Will they succeed? Everything is in place. The UN Secretary General is the world leader, the Security Council is his Cabinet, the General Assembly is the world parliament, they have a World Bank, a World Court, a world army (NATO), a world police force (Interpol), and without Divine intervention they will soon have a world government.
The Council on Foreign Relations, and the organizations they spawned, coordinate the current effort to unify the world. The following entry appears in the “History of CFR” section of the CFR’s web site:
“The most fruitful ground for new members turned out to be the so-called ‘in-and outers’ – businessmen, lawyers, and academics described by social scientists like C. Wright Mills as an influential ‘power elite.’ Two widely quoted critics of the Council, Laurence H. Shoup and William Minter, studied the curriculum vitae of 502 government officials in high positions from 1945 to 1972, and found that more than half of them were members of the Council on Foreign Relations.” [4]
Members of the CFR have controlled U.S. Foreign Policy since 1945, but the Trilateral Commission (which was organized in 1973 by David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski) controls the U.S. presidency. Senator Barry Goldwater described their goal in his book, “With No Apologies.” He wrote:
“(The TC) . . . is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States.” [5]
David Rockefeller, and the powerful men he recruited, set out to “seize control of the political government of the United States.” Did they succeed? David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski recruited an obscure peanut farmer, inducted him into the Trilateral Commission, trained him, focused media attention on him, and got Jimmy Carter elected President of the United States in 1976. A recent article by Patrick Wood in The August Review discussed the events that followed the election:
“Out of the 54 original U.S. members of the Trilateral Commission, Jimmy Carter was fronted to win the presidential election in 1976. Once inaugurated, Carter brought no less than 18 fellow members of the Commission into top-level cabinet and government agencies.” [6]
When Ronald Reagan was campaigning for the presidency in 1980, a reporter asked Reagan for his opinion of the Trilateral Commission, and he replied:
“I don’t believe that the Trilateral Commission is a conspiratorial group, but I do think its interests are devoted to international banking, multinational corporations, and so forth. I don’t think that any Administration of the U.S. Government should have the top nineteen positions filled by people from any one group or organization representing one viewpoint. No, I would go in a different direction.” [7]
During the 1980 National Republican Convention, Ronald Reagan promised his conservative supporters he wouldn’t accept George Herbert Walker Bush as his running mate because Bush was a member of Trilateral Commission and a member of the Board of Directors of the CFR, [8] but three days later Reagan chose George H.W. Bush as his running mate. [9]
President Reagan appointed 287 members of the CFR and the TC to key positions in his administration, orchestrated the largest corporate and social security tax increase in U.S. history (1986), increased federal spending, and almost tripled the national debt during the eight years of his presidency. [10] Why did that happen? Most people believe Ronald Reagan was a Christian because he consulted Christian leaders and often mentioned God, but Ronald Reagan’s administration was guided by an astrologer, and Reagan accepted an honorary 33rd Masonic degree on February 11, 1988 [11].
Joan Quigley, Nancy Reagan’s astrologer claims President Reagan often asked his wife, “What does Joan say?,” and Wikipedia claims Joan Quigley stated:
“Not since the days of the Roman emperors – and never in the history of the United States Presidency – has an astrologer played such a significant role in the nation’s affairs of State.” [12]
If that is true, why hasn’t anyone told the American people? [13]
The TC and the CFR supported George H. W. Bush’s bid for the presidency in 1988, and most of the key positions in the First Bush Administration were filled with members of the organizations. [14]
Bill Clinton belonged to both groups, so it didn’t matter which presidential candidate won the election in 1992. Richard Harwood, the former Editor of the Editorial Page of the Washington Post, described the influence of the CFR in the Clinton administration:
“The president is a member. So is his secretary of state, the deputy secretary of state, all five of the undersecretaries, several of the assistant secretaries and the department’s legal adviser. The President’s national security adviser and his deputy are members. The director of Central Intelligence (like all previous directors) and the chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board are members. The secretary of defense, three undersecretaries and at least four assistant secretaries are members. The secretaries of the departments of housing and urban development, interior, health and human services and the chief White House public relations man, David Gergen, are members, along with the speaker of the House and the majority leader of the Senate.” [15]
Bill Clinton’s Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott, Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan, Director of the CIA George Tenet, and at least eight other members of the Clinton administration were members of the “North American Group” of the Trilateral Commission.[16]
President George W. Bush has never been a member of the CFR or the TC, but Vice President Dick Cheney belonged to both organizations, and currently the White House. Furthermore, Dick Cheney’s wife, Lynne Cheney, is currently one of the 130 members of the North American Group of the Trilateral Commission. [17]
Nine of the ten men that George W. Bush selected to advise him on foreign policy issues in 1999 when he was running for the presidency were members of the Council on Foreign Relations, the tenth man, Richard Armitage, was a member of the Trilateral Commission, and almost all the key positions in the current Bush administration are held by members of either the CFR or the TC. [18]
Was the BOD responsible for the tragic events that took place on 9/11? I believe the CIA (which is almost always led by a member of the CFR) created the Islamic fundamentalist movement, and played an important part in the events that took place on 9/11. How can I make that claim? Because one of the highest ranking officials in the CIA admitted what happened, and you will learn what he said later in this series of articles. [19]
Henry Kissinger is a long-time member of the Board of Directors of the CFR, a founding member of the TC, and a primary architect of the events that lie ahead, so we must heed his words. The September 13, 2006, op-ed-page article he wrote for The Washington Post discusses the implications of the coming war with Iran:
“The debate sparked by the Iraq war over American rashness versus European escapism is dwarfed by what the world now faces . . . the common danger of a wider war merging into a war of civilizations against the background of a nuclear-armed Middle East. . . . We now know that we face the imperative of building a new world order or potential global catastrophe.” [20]
According to Henry Kissinger, the U.S. has only two choices. We can either abandon national sovereignty and build “a new world order” or “face a potential global catastrophe.”
Are there other alternatives? Yes, but Henry Kissinger and the powerful spiritual forces he represents, don’t want them considered because they want to establish a new world order, a new world religion, and they want to enthrone a new world leader.
Where does the current story begin? It began in 1953 when John Foster Dulles (CFR) was Secretary of State, and Allen Dulles (CFR), was the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. [21] Under their direction, the CIA deposed the democratically elected government of Iran and installed the Shah because John Foster Dulles and Allen Dulles claimed the Shah would be a bulwark against communism. [22]
Zbigniew Brzezinski (CFR-TC) controlled U.S. Foreign Policy in 1979, and installed the radical Islamic regime that rules Iran today. [23] Why did Zbigniew Brzezinski depose the Shah who was our ally, and install a radical Islamic regime that was aligned with the Soviet Union? CFR and TC apologists claim Brzezinski made a mistake, but I don’t believe that’s true. I believe Zbigniew Brzezinski installed the radical Islamic government that rules Iran today because he wanted to create the Islamic fundamentalist movement, and lay the foundation for the coming war with Iran. Zbigniew Brzezinski discussed implications of the radical Islamic fundamentalist movement he created in his 1997 book, “The Grand Chessboard.”
“A possible challenge to American primacy from Islamic fundamentalism could be part of the problem in this unstable region. . . . However, without political cohesion and in the absence of a single genuinely powerful Islamic state, a challenge from Islamic fundamentalism would lack a geopolitical core and would thus be more likely to express itself through diffuse violence.”[24]
Zbigniew Brzezinski believed the Islamic fundamentalist movement would not be a major problem because it wouldn’t have the backing of a major Islamic government. You will learn more about the TC’s Plan in Part IV of this series.

Most Americans weren’t aware of the threat of Islamic fundamentalism before the “terrorist attack” on September 11, 2001. Where did the radical Islamic movement come from? When did it begin? The modern-day Islamic movement originated in 1977 when the CIA began funding the rebel organization that were trying to destabilize the communist government that ruled Afghanistan. By December 1979, the Soviet-backed regime was on the verge of collapse, so the USSR invaded Afghanistan to keep their puppet government in power.[1]
Saudi Arabia, Pakistani Intelligence (the ISI), and the CIA recruited Moslem soldiers from Islamic countries, and paid them to fight the Soviet invasion. The men were trained in terrorist tactics, they were given copies of the Koran and they were told about the importance of Islamic Jihad.[2] In an effort to insure the success of the effort to promote radical Islam, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) paid $51 million to have Islamic text books printed that stressed the importance of Jihad, and killing Infidels. If you find that difficult to believe, I suggest you obtain a copy of the article titled “Teaching ABCs and Jihad” that appeared in the April 1-7, 2002 issue of The Washington Post National Weekly Edition.[3]
Zbigniew Brzezinski, (CFR-TC) controlled U.S. Foreign policy at that time, and was responsible for the CIA’s effort to foment the resurgence of “radical Islam”. Initially he denied the charge that he orchestrated the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, but nineteen years later, in 1998, Brzezinsky admitted he intentionally precipitated the Afghan war because he wanted to bankrupt the USSR, and end the Cold War.[4]
Robert Dreyfuss’s book, Devil’s Game, traces the history of rebirth of the Islamic fundamentalist movement, and quotes Zbigniew Brzezinski’s admission that:
“‘Containing Soviet Communism,’ said Brzezinski, ‘dictated an avoidance of anything that might split Islamic opposition to the Soviets, especially a U.S.-Iranian military confrontation. It now seemed to me more important to forge an anti-Soviet Islamic coalition’. As in the 1950s and 1960s, the United States hoped to use Islam against radical, secular forces and their atheist ally, the Soviet Union. Carter administration officials now recognized the new possibilities for cooperation with Islamic resurgence and hoped to harness its ideological and material resources against Communist expansionism.”[5]
When Zbigniew Brzezinski was interviewed by Nouvel Observateur in 1998 he admitted his intention was to provoke a Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and when he was asked if he regretted supporting the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, he replied:
“What is more important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Muslims or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?”[6]
Is that true? I don’t believe Zbigniew Brzezinski was concerned about the Soviet threat because he understands the conflict between the US and the USSR is contrived to divert attention from our true enemy, the CFR and TC Globalists who want to end the sovereignty of our nation. I believe Brzezinski planned the current conflict in the Middle East because he wants to bankrupt the United States, and create a world government. If you find that view difficult to believe, I suggest you read my book, Brotherhood of Darkness, check my documentation, watch my interview with Professor Antony Sutton, (The Best Enemies Money Can Buy), read Professor Suttons’s book, National Suicide, and obtain a copy of the “Aid and Trade Documents” that Congressman Larry McDonald published before he disappeared in 1983.[7]
In the Introduction to his book, Devil’s Game, Robert Dreyfuss wrote:
“After 2001, the Bush administration appeared to sign on to the neoconservative declaration that the world was defined by a ‘clash of civilizations,’ and launched its global war on terrorism, targeting Al Qaeda – the most virulent strain of the very virus that the United States had helped create.”[8]
Did the CFR – TC create the Islamic terrorist movement to justify their effort to monitor and control the American people?
The World Future Society is one of many front organizations that the Trilateral Commission uses to promote world government. The November-December 1994 issue of their magazine (WFS), The Futurist, contains an article titled “The Future Face of Terrorism” that states:
“The next 15 years may well be the age of superterrorism, when they (the Islamic terrorist-ed) gain access to weapons of mass destruction and show a new willingness to use them . . . . Terrorists in the early years of the twenty-first century will reflect the causes that excite passion and move people to violence . . . conflict will increase until a new stasis or ‘world order’ is established.”[9]
How did the author of the article know what lay ahead? At that time the World Future Society’s logo was a circle that contained three sixes – 666, similar to the Trilateral Commission’s logo that contains three 6’s–666.
Most people are distressed by the long lines they encounter at airports, and the fact that the government began monitoring private phone calls after the attack on the World Trade Center. Were those things planned before the terrorist attack? On August 4, 1996, five years before the 9/11 attack, Richard Haass, the current Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the TC, wrote an article that was published in The Palm Beach Post titled: “Land of The Free Makes a Tempting Target”. Richard Haass wrote:
“The war against terrorism is a war with an unlimited number of battles, none of them decisive . . . . What price are we prepared to pay? The price will be financial and personal. People will have to accept longer lines before entering buildings, longer delays at airports, more intrusive searches of belongings and our persons, and higher ticket prices to pay for all of this . . . . Greater vigilance will also involve a willingness to compromise some of our civil liberties, including accepting more frequent phone taps and surveillance . . . .Those who would resist paying such a price should keep in mind that terrorism could well get worse in the coming years . . . there is evidence that the terrorist challenge is entering a new phase.” [10]
Over 300 million people live in the U.S. at the present time, yet almost all of the important posts in industry, banking, academia, the military, and government are held by members of the CFR and the North American Group of the Trilateral Commission. Is that an accident?
Zbigniew Brzezinski (CFR – TC) contends the Middle East is the center of the world, and the U.S. must dominate that region. He wrote:
“As America becomes an increasingly multicultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstances of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat. Such a consensus generally existed throughout World War II and even during the Cold War. It was rooted . . . in a cultural and ethnic affinity for the predominantly European victims of hostile totalitarianisms. In the absence of a comparable external challenge, American society may find it much more difficult to reach agreement regarding foreign policies . . . .” (underlining added-ed)[11]
Zbigniew Brzezinski believes the public must believe they face an “external challenge.”
Members of the “Project For the New American Century” (PNAC), primarily made up of members of the CFR and the TC, contend there must be a “widely perceived direct external threat” to justify U.S. control of the world. Their publication, Rebuilding America’s Defenses, (2000) states:
“The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor.” (underlining added)[12]
Thomas Kean (CFR), and Lee Hamilton’s (CFR-TC) book, “Without Precedent” described Condaleezza Rice’s (CFR) testimony before the 9/11 Commission. When Rice was asked “why more had not been done to take defensive measures in response to the threat reporting over the spring and summer:’
“she told the Commission the public wasn’t prepared to support President Bush’s effort to take drastic action against Al Qaeda. There had to be a catastrophic event that forced people to think differently….Rice pointed out that the nation simply wasn’t prepared to take dramatic action against al Qaeda before 9/11 – either abroad or in reforming government at home – and said, ‘Until there is a catastrophic event that forces people to think differently, that forces people to overcome all customs and old culture and old fears about domestic intelligence . . . you don’t get that kind of change.’” (underlining added)[13]
The 9/11 attack forced the public to overcame their “customs and old culture and old fears about intelligence,” and justified the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.
When the 9/11 Commission asked Donald Rumsfeld why the Bush administration didn’t try to prevent the terrorist attack:
“Rumsfeld acknowledged the spike in reports of possible al Qaeda attacks in the spring and summer of 2001, saying, ‘There was a good deal of concern. It was certainly not business an usual.’ In response, he said the Bush administration was putting together a more ‘comprehensive policy’ to go after al Qaeda than the Clinton administration’s, a process that did not conclude until September 10, 2001.”[14]
Donald Rumsfeld claims President Bush’s plan to destroy al Qaeda was completed the day before the 9/11 attack. Twenty-six days later the U.S. deployed military forces in Afghanistan, but failed to capture Osama bin Laden or destroy al Qaeda. Why did that happen?
H.L. Mencken wrote:
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”[15]
There is much more to this story, but it will have to wait until the next article.
Millions of Americans know something is seriously wrong. We must help them understand the spiritual force that is orchestrating the current war in the Middle East.
