Yesterday, a high school student body assembly with cheer “leaders” trying to rally a defeated team met, disguised as the King County Republican Party Reorganization Meeting. “One team, one mission!” One team, one mission! One team, one mission,” State Chairwoman Diane Tebelius chanted from the podium each time shrieking louder than the last. That was it, that was her motivational speech. She had nothing intellectual to offer to address the defeat, and her efforts at being a motivational speaker rang hollow. Where is the real intellect in the ‘Winning Team of 2006?”
As I entered the auditorium, I saw the sea of blue and white signs of Young and Sotelo advertised as the “Winning Team of 2006!” which consists of the same team that lead to the 2/3rds super majority for the Democrats in Olympia: Diane Tebelius, Michael Young, Lori Sotelo, and closet Anglican Father Joe Fuiten. This same team dared not to help real conservatives during the last election, but in fact preached at the PCOs two years ago about how we would not win any elections if we stayed on the conservative path. “We needed a ‘Big Tent’ to succeed,” they preached.
Their plan: Let’s make the Republicans look like Democrats and we’ll fool the liberal Washington voters into voting for us, and we’ll take back Washington. Take back Washington for what purpose? You’re personal ambition for power? That’s their plan folks! To look like Democrats, talk like Democrats and be like Democrats. The real issue is about who controls the power!
Mr. Young preached yesterday that, “You’ll see more of the same.” Stay the course and we will win! We’re acting out the same plan which gave the Dems a super majority, but this time we’re expecting different results! This is the definition of insanity, but this is their idea of an intelligent plan. More of the same!
One of the problems true Conservatives face is that the current Republican leadership is in a perpetual state of denial regarding the overwhelming forces of cultural Marxism arrayed against the American public. The liberal, oops, the “mainstream” Republicans are too obsessed with material and secular issues to be concerned with such “neanderthal” and “unsophisticated” cultural issues such as family, faith, and a real classical education so that we can think for ourselves. The result is that they are part of the problem whether they are causing this Red Tide or merely floating along with it due to slothful thinking.
The cultural Marxists who took over the Democratic Party have ingeniously plotted to push out and exclude moderate Democrats such as Joseph Lieberman and millions of voters like him: Social liberals, fiscal Conservatives aka mainstream Republicans. A lot of these thinkers are now swelling the ranks of the Republican party and are causing a noticeable leftward shift in the political center of gravity within the party. So not only do the cultural Marxists shift the Democratic party leftwards, but now have shifted the Republican party leftward and the Conservatives are told to, “Sit down and shut up!” As a result, true conservatives have been isolated and alienated from their own Republican party. This was so evident yesterday at what appeared to be nothing more than a cheerleading session at a high school student body election, but in reality a craftily conceived plan to push Conservatives out of their own party and make them irrelevant. I forgot to bring my pom poms, my foam fingers, war paint, party pennants, and the pony keg of beer, but instead I brought my clear perception, and logical mind to discern the thickening secular progressive plot hatched by the vast Left Wing conspiracy within the Republican Party.
What part of, “We lost stupid, and lost bad” does ‘The Winning Team of ‘06′ not get? It’s time to grow up and face reality, and not slip into denial by trying to re-live high school moments where the popular kids win, even though the popular kids couldn’t think! They dressed good, they had daddy’s money and cars, but couldn’t think their way out of a paper bag, and the only reason they passed their classes was because of unpopular geeks like us tutoring them in study hall.
The Republican party is in grave danger, and the current leadership is utterly incompetent or unwilling to reverse this present Marxist tide. By the time the term of this leadership is over, the libs will have controlled Washington for 30 years. This is their plan and it is working!
The “Winning Team of 2006″ is beating the Nancy Pelosi drum of “civility” while their operatives are outside ripping up conservative political signs of their opponents. “I can do this because I am a Sergeant-At-Arms at this here meeting,” he arrogantly snears!
How postmodern of them to take a page out of the democratic playbook and redefine civility. Their idea of “civility” is to eliminate any internal party conflict by what ever means necessary whereas true genuine civility requires genuine understanding of the different positions involved in a debate or exchange of ideas. What are they so afraid of? If they are so right then come out of your closet, and have a real debate.
Why do they care so much about “civility?” Why this very mantra employed at this very time? I find it coincidental that the “Winning Team of 2006″ is playing the exact same script as Nancy Pelosi & Co., as she tries to bring back “civility” in DC politics, and thereby implying that valid debate and questioning are uncivil. Genuine civility is a much needed personal virtue, but can their redefined version of “civility” ever be a substitute for integrity and intellectual honesty?
Hey you “Winning Team of 06!” Have integrity, and let your outward appearance match your true inward secular progressive world-view! If you want to talk and walk like a Democrat, then at least be honest about being a Democrat and participate in a real debate. If you are a moderate be part of the solution and join the Democratic party, and shift their party to the right, and you will be doing the American people a valuable service.
